Do both front tires spin or just one when in 4 wheel drive?

It is extremely rare to find a 4WD with limited slip in the front differential. Reason being, it is very difficult to turn if you have limited slip/locking differential. You need to have a wheel not supply power in a turn in order to give the wheel speed difference required for easy steering.

I believe most 4WD vehicles have an open diff in front, but there are probably some with limited slip. To see if you have it, put it in 2WD and jack up one front wheel. If it turns easily, you've got an open diff. If it turns hard or not at all, it's limited slip.

Depends on if the 4WD is rated for road use (i.e. AWD)

If it is, then there's a front differential as well. In fact, there's likely a third differential between front and rear axle.

If not, then there isn't.
