1. Which of the two elements present in the sample is the parent and which is the daughter?
2. There are a number of assumptions that need to be made in order to calculate the age of this sample using radiometric dating methods. How much lead-207 and how much uranium-235 must you assume were present when the granite formed?
3. Given the half-life for uranium-235 is 713 million years, determine the age of the granite sample.
