Are you thinking of taking Percocet for pain related to the IUD? If so, there is relatively no pain associated with the insertion of the IUD. If you are taking the Percocet for another condition, then yes. It is totally safe to take it.... you certainly do not need it for that procedure though... (and if you have never had the Mirena IUD before, it is great! You will probably have some "breakthrough" bleeding for several months but it is definitely worth it. You can also get pregnant immediately after it is removed!

I can't even remember if they gave me something to take before I got it done. Did you know that when you are getting the IUD, they are going to put it on when you are on the last day of your cycle (a little uncomfortable, but worth it)? It doesn't hurt at all. My cycle doesn't come like every month.
It comes like every four months...and I LOVE IT!!!!! PMS is not so cool.

It is probably ok to do but I would recommend double checking with your dr to see what they say.
