What signed music artists do you think COULD compete and do well in American Idol? Make a top 12!
Who would you put in your top 12 of popular signed music artists who you think are great singers and could actually sing live and compete on American Idol.
Most of todays signed artists would not be able to sing live every week. They use the magic of the studio to sound good and sing to a track on stage. I am a music producer and know this as a fact. Most singers would be singing way off key and would have to rely on their personality and dancing to pull them through. If you want name some artists who you know would not be able to pull it off as well. (the sanjaya list...lol) A lot of people say that most of the contestants suck but they should get props for being able to perform live and get by every week.

here are my top 12 artist that i've seen live and sound as good or even better than their CD
1) Dashboard confessional (check out the unplugged album and you will know why i picked him no.1)
2) Starting line (he has the coolest, most relaxing voice i've heard so far)
3) Michael Jackson (he's a legend, most of the artist today are a mere image of him in some way)
4) Justin Timberlake (this guy can sing and dance at the same time and still sounds good)
5) Christina Aguilera
6) Jason Mraz
7) Train (the 2 guys from AI this year are copying him)
8) The Used
9) Ne-yo
10) Beyonce
11) coors (whatever happened to them?)
12) Story of the year

Its funny...I idn't get to watch AI last week so I listened to it online. I was like "oh my lord! They all sound terrible" Then I watched a few of the performances online the next day and they seemed to sing so much better. I think the lighting, background, seeing them sing, etc makes them sound much better than they really are. Without all the extra they just sound "normal".

I'm definite they do. But possibly it is of their agreement after they get to a distinctive stage to participate in for them with out pay. However, Amer Idol and Fox makes such a lot cash that they would pay them with out breaking their financial institution, so it might make extra feel that they receives a commission, it possibly in opposition to a few variety of entertainers coverage for them to not be paid.
