I KNOW that trutles are NOT slow. When I put my red eared sliders in my outdoor pond in the summer, the run to dry land sometimes. When they run, they run. Turtles are fast little buggers. Tortises, on the other hand, are extremely slow by nature.

when i put some fish out for my baby crocodile the big turtle is first on the scene
she must have a very keen sense of smell.
i have also seen her catch fish aperently asleep with her mouth open and the fish that swims through is gobbled up in a seccond ,so she is not stupid ,
in the water she is very fast when the amourous males wants some fun
but on the land she is very slow

Tortoises are slower than than turtles. Turtles that are small go pretty fast, I had one that ran really fast! Turtles that are big go a little slower, but still move fast.

They are much faster than you think. When my tortoise is in panic, he walks very quickly. Or when he is hungry. Otherwise, my tortoise goes at a leisurely place, that is still not as slow as you think.

Not that much. I mean they are swimmers and they don't swim that slow. Tortoises and snails are slow. Turtles not so much.
