I hate what people did to the Indians too, but that doesnt have anything to do with the person I am. You should be proud of your race and who you are.

I dislike people in general no matter what race they are or where they are from. I just dislike rude people....

No, it does not make you a racist. No one should be forced to associate with people they do not like. If you believed that your "race" is the superior race of all humanity, and that all other races are inferior, then you would be a racist. But simply not liking another race, ethnicity, or culture does not, by itself, make a person a racist; it's simply your personal preference. Did you have many bad experiences with whites in your past (beaten, robbed, or worse?), or is this some rhetorical exercise? Do whites commit most of the violent crimes in the place you live?

Naaah, Logan, even paranoids have real enemies. By Indian, do you mean ndn as in tribal/ Native American or the people from New Delhi reputed to bathe in the Ganges River?
I'm also a white guy/NA/Euro and white guys, especially politicians make me pretty nervous as well. Our culture is pretty damned confusing. Spanish and Italian dudes get somewhat emotional and want to clap us on the back or give us an "embrazo" or embrace which is perfectly acceptable in Madrid or Milan, but God "hep" us if they do it in Ft. Worth, TX as we either have to duke off the gay label or denounce our "furrin' friends." I have quite a bit of Southerrn ancestry to 'splain as well as I could have a "wee dram" of black or Afro-American blood meself as how many KKK members do you know have the right to wear snow white sheets? I am not nor ever have been associated with any such organization, but due to the ndn ancestry, can't say I am the pure white knight any more than you can. If we were Dalmatians or 'coon hounds, we wouldn't have to be so pedigree conscious or apologize for the colour of our fur. However, since we were raised as "white," it does get a bit hairier than we wish and strong silent type seems to be the way to go.
Well, my fellow "pot," as long as you don't point out the "kettle" is blacker than you are or say "nappy" when you aren't discussing your living room rug, I wouldn't deem you a racist and Billie Holiday was not blaming you when she described a lynching in her lyrics to "Strange Fruit."

What did the "white" culture do to the Indians and blacks? Slavery??? That has been going on for thousands of years. I DON"T agree with it. We are ALL realted in some way. Im "white", and any group of guys walking toward me, black, white or green could make me nervous. But it sounds like you could be.

Get over it!!! To judge all whites for what happened a long time ago makes you just as bad as all them. Yes whites did do bad things to blacks and indians because they judged them by skin color but by saying you don't like white people for past mistakes aren't you doing the same thing??? I'm white and I have never done anything to hurt anyone of another race and yet people like you are hating ME for something I had no control over!! You need to rethink yourself!!

To a certain degree you are racist. Many people don't like what happened to some Indians and black people, but that was a long time ago. It is 2007 now grow up!

I think "white pride" is overrated and inherently a racist concept, obviously because of white privilege. People who claim that its only fair to be proud of being white fail to understand that the world is not just black and white. German pride, Dutch pride whatever - that's fine, but "white" pride is just a completely different concept than any other "racial" pride.

I'm white, grew up in a majority white town, at least half the people were white. I tended to befriend people of other races, not on purpose, but because my values were more similar to theirs than many of my white peers.

Yes. You should dislike ALL people equally. Just kidding.
You're entitled to your feelings as long as you don't imagine things that aren't true. I wouldn't assume all white people are the same. Just try to keep an open mind.
