They shut down shop, leave a big gaping wound in a neighbohood and then reopen one block away. I bet they are run by the corporate bankers.

Yeah, I've seen them take advantage of tax breaks first hand here in my city. They had a 20-year deal with the city to not have to pay any local taxes...what do you think they did when the 20 yrs was up? They shut down the old one and built a NEW Walmart, literally a couple of blocks away to be re-exempted from taxes for another 20 years. (The old one was remodeled as a super, so it was not an upgrade or anything). I hate Wal-Mart, but I have shopped there and I feel such shame for it...

I only shop at Wally World if I absolutely have no choice at all. I rather pay a little more at Target (pronounced Tar Jé) and not nearly get run over by 8000 shoe scrapings with carts than save a bit and end up in the hospital. Mundo Del Wallies in my area are inhabited by things you need guns to control. ====Edit Buses are Cool.

Better return policy? A few months ago this woman brought in a broken Cars toy to Walmart. This thing was scratched and beat up. She claimed it "just stopped working" but obviously it broke because it had been played with so hard. And they just exchanged it! No questions asked.

that doesn't surprise me. the word "wal mart" leaves a dirty taste in my mouth. if it would entirely possible to never shop at wal mart again i would do that. but they have such cheap prices that it's hard not to be tempted to. target is so much nicer and they have a better return policy, clean stores, and a clean reputation.

When Old man Walton was alive, it was a good company.
Now his kids are out to make money no matter who they screw.
They would like to put Kmart completely out of business, they have hurt Sears and other long time retailers.
I don't shop there. The stores are full of welfare mothers.

And... Walmart does not sell prescriptions if the individual pharmacist disagrees with it. ie. they can refuse to fill birth control prescriptions and "plan b" the morning after pill.
