It is not Darwinism, it is Evolution.

I don't pretend to know how the universe or life originally began, although I have strong leanings toward certain theories.
But I know for certain, due to undeniable, hard reproducible evidence, that evolution - over millions of years - is more than just a theory. It is the best explanation of how we are and who we are.

Anyone who tells you otherwise is basing their arguments on faith, not science. The evidence for evolution is overwhelming, and the only way to argue against it is to ignore all the evidence from many independent branches of science.
Evolution is evidence based understanding, it is not about faith. It is accepted by most mainstream churches.
The Catholic church separates the evolution of the body from the development of the soul, and hence has accepted evolution as a scientific probability, just like they accepted that the Earth revolved around the Sun many years ago.

The main objections to evolution, as I said, are theological, and seem to suggest that it is an insult to link humans to other Apes, but there are too many similarities for it to be otherwise.

Evolution explains the similarities and differences between all the living things on Earth. Creationists just ask you to accept that it is so, and be content.

As a scientist, I accept evolutionary theory because it is backed up by significant evidence. Creationism is not backed up by evidence, and is instead based only on faith.

The link below contains an objective discussion about different religions and how those religions view creationism and evolution. The site is called “religious tolerance” and as the name suggests, it does not make judgments about any particular religion or belief, but rather focuses on the debate and different beliefs. Yes, it will take take time to read, but it's a better alternative than having an opinion based on nothing.

We scientists do tend to "believe" in things and theories that we can prove, so "believe" is the wrong verb! We do KNOW that Darwin theory of evolution is (more or less) correct and we base our convictions on scientific evidence, which goes from genetic links, to findings of fossil remains, to observation etc, etc...
Whereas, to present date, not a single piece of evidence seem to prove the theory of the "inteligent design", or ceationism. Too many illogical assumptions to make.

I have a question too: why are religious people so keen in showing that Evolution is wrong? Why can't you just accept that some people don't share the same blind "faith" that you have and let them live?

I believe in evolution, or Darwinism, simply because of its scientific evidence. There have been so many fossils found that prove there were tons of species linking primates to modern humans (as well as many other species' development), that it's hard for me not to believe in evolution.

I do believe in God; I think He had a huge amount to do with the creation of man -- I definitely think we're the species that was really blessed, and given the most creativity and intelligence by Him, but since I'm young and all of my science classes have ONLY taught evolution... I've learned to accept both theories. Evolution has so much scientific data that so many people are willing to ignore, and yet a part of me definitely believes that the human race is completely unique; it MUST have been blessed by a higher power, in my opinion.

in my own opinion i think that there is still a lil truth to both of these topics. Maybe god did create the world...im to sure on that one. But some christians say that evolution doesnt exist. thats not true. there is something called micro evolution. its a small change in a plany animal or person that allows them to change something in themselve in order to adapt or live more comfortably. I dont know if god is real, but if he or she is, i think that God created evolution. People have what i like to call choice. god gave us choice, so maybe we have the choice to adapt and use microevolution, or the choice to believe he did all the work. the thing that i dont get it that god said he was creator of everything. yet when ppl preech his words they say that everything has a creator and that god should get props for that. but if everyhting has a creator then you think god wouldnt be highest in power. How can somthing with no proof of existance be there since the begining of time. If god always was then did he creat time? or was time started somehow and he then formed. can you answer this: Were does time begin? i dont think anyone can really answer that, but when that is asked ppl have to specify the word time. its such a complicated debate. i hope you enjoyed my answer. i hope to hear from you about this

i'm a Catholic technology instructor, and that i could style of answer your question by making use of saying i think in Creationsim by way of Darwinism. In analyzing distinctive advent memories from countless religions (nut only Judeo-Christian, yet international, or perhaps ones that are 'extinct'). the order wherein issues are created is quite lots the comparable. there is not any longer something, then there is easy. whilst living issues get around to being created, they commence in the sea, and then land up with mankind. this is a short version of order of operations in the e book of Genesis, and wager what? it particularly is likewise the order of operations defined in technology, by making use of Darwin and countless others. The Catholic church, under the two Pope John Paull II and Pope Benedict XVI, has reported there is not any conflict between that faith and evolutionary concept. Fundamentalist argue that the 6 days of advent are an absolute certainty, yet few people particularly carry out a literal interpretation of the full Bible, in view that they could then no longer use lots of technologies because of the fact it is not suggested. individually, i think of Genesis replaced into distinctly intelligent of God. How ought to He tell of His alluring and complicated miracle to people who had such constrained understanding? on the time the Bible replaced into written, mankind had no understand-how of area, chemistry, or perhaps numbers previous 1000. God informed the story of advent in a manner the persons of the time ought to appreciate, no longer it a manner that replaced into gibberish. I see mankind's seek for understanding and solutions because of the fact the sluggish quest to return to extra appropriate understand God's grand plan and wondrous miracle it particularly is advent. i do no longer think of we are able to ever know all of it in this life, yet this quest enables us to renowned our international and our God extra appropriate.

As I keep telling you people, it is not a matter of belief, but of evidence. The theory of evolution by natural selection has mountains of evidence to support it. Creationism has none. I could go on for line after line, but I do not know whether I would be wasting my time, or not, as there is no such controversy, as you imply. The way your question is worded gives me pause. So go here.

The theory of evolution is at best weak science. It is the only scientific discipline that doesn't require repeatable laboratory experiments. It asks you to believe that bone fragments beget other bone fragments - add a little bit of environment, pinch of time, a meteor from outer space - bingo bango - somehow life started from a single cell creature to the present day human. The dirty little secret is that evolution is just another belief based concept like creationism.

darwinism. Evolution can be supported by a number of things. Thats why viruses and bacteria change over time and why antibotics create resilant bacteria.

Those aren't the only two theories of origin, but I will take a stab at this one, just because I like a catfight.

I believe the intelligent design theory, a belief that all of the universe is uniquely and gloriously made by a Creator with a plan. As someone in the healthcare industry I get both sides of the argument, from patients, co-workers, friends even. I don't believe in evolution as a theory because of the laws of physics that would have to be denied in order for that theory to work. Additionally, there is no agreement amongst scientists exactly how evolution on a universal scale even works. Too often scientists have rushed to publish theories-as was the case with Darwin himself. His work was revised several times after publication due to his rethinking of natural selection processes. Despite accounts of a deathbed recantation of the theory of evolution, Darwin's daughter denies this event occured.

To reiterate, I don't believe in Darwinism, nor evolution as currently presented, because of the laws of physics that would have to be broken in order for such to take place. As someone in a science in action job I will tell you that the opinion is divided.

My grandfather often quoted this to me: "A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion, still." Someone famous said it eons ago and it still holds true. No matter how many arguments are made for and against either theory you must and will decide for yourself which theory tickles your fancy best.
