That's the problem with our country you have to be one or the other. Their is no in between. Thomas Jefferson in visioned us as a country with no parties. It is quite sad.

You are a democrat with some Republican tendencies.
You say you believe in the 10 commandments and Jesus yet you say murdering unborn children for convience is ok. The Bible says children are a gift from God. Now which is it are they an inconvience that should be murdered or a gift that should be recieved? Jesus said that you better be careful how you treat children.
How can war always be wrong? Does a nation not have the right to defend itself? If you were in charge, America would not exist.
Do you think that even those who refuse to work should have Healt Care? What gives them the right to leech off me instead of working?

You can't be "pro choice" (murder) and truly believe in the 10 Commandments and Jesus. If you did, you would find it abominable to "KILL" a baby in his or her mother's womb.
That's like saying, "I believe in stop signs, but I feel that it should be legal to ignore them." or "I am against people molesting children, but a pedophile should be able to legally have sex with children."
The compromising candidate which you describe could actually come from either side of the aisle. This person would also be able to "play the crowd" by tailoring their answers to a particular audience.
What Guiliani is basically saying about the abortion issue is this: "I think murder is wrong, but a woman should have the right to kill her child if she so chooses."
You are against war, but abortion has killed FAR more people than the war in Iraq and the Vietnam War combined.

You don't belong in a political party if you don't ever believe that a country should go to war.
If you don't like this war, that is OK, but sometimes there are reasons to fight.
Reps are against gun control.
Dems are pro-choice.
Christians are Republicans more than they aren't.
Reps are for small gov't.
Everyone thinks that we should all have healthcare, the difference is in how it is provided.
Dems are anti-Iraq War.
Reps are less anti-Iraq War.
Reps are statistically more inteligent, statistically better educated, and statistically more economically successful. (I am a Republican so maybe I'm a little partial)

You assume war is a Republican thing? Look at history, most the wars were started by Democrats. Clinton bombed the crap out of Eastern Europe. You are a conservative Republican based on almost all of the other answers.

Most definitely a democrat!
Let's put it this way... George W. Bush is a republican. Do you agree with him sending our family members and friends to "repair" an unfixable country (Iraq) and die in the process? If not than you're in disagreement with the republicans, which would make you a democrat.

The truth is that most Americans (even politicians) are neither "true" Republicans nor "true" Democrats. We fall somewhere around the middle.
However, some just say that they fall into one or another because politics is sometimes too complex.
If you really wish to know which party is better for you. I recommend you prioritize your political issues.
For example, if you believe that strong religion is the most important issue in politics than you tend to be more conservative.

Translation:
I believe that America should never again defend it's borders or people
I'm dumb enough to think that if the citizens put down their weapons, the criminals will, too.
Even though I'm against war, I love the idea of killing innocent babies.
I have no idea what my beliefs are, because I'm in favor of killing babies, which is a violation of the 10 commandments.
I have no idea what a "small government" is, but it sounds good so I stick it in there with the rest.
I'm dumb enough to think that a "small government" can run a socilized health care program.
I want to be both democrat and republican, but I refuse to register with either party and make it official. I've forgotten what it's like to think for myself and just be independent.

First off WAR isnt always wrong... if you are a christian as you claim to be... then you should know this...
G-d had David wipe out whole cities and communities
Yeshua(jesus) himself said you thought i have come to bring peace... but i have come to bring dissension (war)
G-d says many times he is a god of war...
perhaps you should read ya book and not listen to what others say or better yet ask ya G-d what he says about it...
REVELATION 3:16
read it... there is no middle ground there is no black and white... abortion is clear cut in G-ds eyes... he says he knew you even before you were in the womb... think about that...

you're really more dem... I know many dems that don't like gun control and believe in Jesus...
but I don't know any Republicans that thinks all war is wrong and believes we should all have health care... and most are pro-life...
the Republican issues you support aren't really that divisive in the Democratic party...
like I don't know any dem that is like "big government wohoo!"... but policies like universal healthcare naturally do make the government some larger...
