No class is ever "stupid" girlie! Every bit of information you learn will benifit you down the road sometime. It's best to learn from a licensed instructer because they do not have sloppy driving habits like your parents have or worse than that your uneducated friends who will never learn the proper defencive way to drive safely.
Learn to change your own oil, change tires, wiper blades, batteries, brakes find out what makes a car work then come back and tell me stuff is "stupid".

You may think it's corny, but the live class is always better than one that is online or imaginary. With a live or classroom class, you have the ability to practice anything that you have already learned in real-time, and there is a difference in reaction-time behind the wheel versus having a few seconds to determine the best answer to satisfy a quota for a grade.

classroom is best. also, if you have never driven a car, you'll need a learners permit so you can learn how to drive. just turning a key and stepping on the gas isn't driving. you need some actual on-road instruction as well as the classroom instruction.
as far as i'm concerned, if you can't drive a stick shift, you can't drive. driving an automatic is just steering it, not driving it. when you can shift gears, push the clutch, steer the vehicle, accelerate at a reasonable rate, and chew gum, all at the same time, then you can say you know how to drive.
that means using all four limbs and your mouth all in the same second, then that's called driving!

Instead of online, I suggest Driver Ed In A Box. It has a software program that you load on your computer to do at your own pace. Also it includes all of the in-car training as well. Check it out:

Classroom, you can't get the necessary hands on experience you'll need for driving sitting in front of a computer.

Face to Face classes are always better, you get better interaction with everyone in the class and the instructor.
