Glycerin is only made into nitroglycerin (which seems to be the focus of your question) via a nitration process involving HNO3 and H2SO4.

It is illegal to produce, use and sell explosives without having a permit, if you are caught with explosives by the authorities, its actually worse than having an unregistered firearm, and more than likely on par with having an fully automatic firearm.

People in the US can keep guns and go on killing sprees like in Virginia Tech, lot better to use bombs, I am sure the Republicans would like that.
