I am watching his Comedy Central special right now, and it's a non-stop "N-word"-fest

And people are laughing. Black people and white people.

So why do you laugh at some racial humor and not at other racial humor?

It is called a double standard and hypocrisy, listen to the same guy and he makes fun of white people a ton as well but oh he isnt a white male so it is okay to make racial jokes. Check also Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, Carlos Mencia, all non white comedians who makes tons tons TONS of racial jokes and all have all sorts of comedy central andd TV air time and yet not a word is said, welcome to the American double standard.

Personally I think people are just too sensitive. You can't say something without somehow offending someone else's race/religion/sexuality. You have the choice to decide what it is you want to see or hear. If you (ummmmmm trying to find a political correct term to use) are educated, smart, whatever you would like to call it, then no matter what any one says about your race/religion/sexuality it not bother, if anything the person passing these comments is ignorant. Always try and give the benefit of doubt before you label someone because that is how hatred is furnished and passed on from generation to generation that is why black/people of color get offended when they are called the N word.

the comic is not attacking educated, law abiding citizens as imus did. why don't you just shut the f up and go to hell. i hate when someone tries to throw off the true issue. the issue is can one little man be allowed to use his position in the media to verbally assault anyone he wants. imus forgot that he didn't own the station, or the air waves. he got what he deserved, now its time for you to get what you deserve. the big cuss out!!!

One humor is to make people laugh the other to mask your intent to ridicule or demean other people.
In the case of Imus Blacks 1 - Racists 0, get over it.

I think mainstream blacks are starting to wake up. I'd like to think that they are seeing Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson for the immoral, self-rightous idiots they are and they're starting to not follow those two around like a bunch of sheep.

No one fired IMUS but his own sponsors.
Contact the Network. better yet boycott those sponsors that dumped him.
