Yes. Two souls finding and recognizing each other instantly.

But be careful. Too often it's just lust at first sight. When it's love, you're not just physically attracted to each other. You're drawn to the being inside the body...The soul, not the body. Sometimes someone is so beautiful you think you're in love but you're just infatuated with the physical. Love is not superficial. It runs very deep. You know when you feel it. It's unlike anything else. It's like coming home. It's like you've known this person before. It's like it's meant to be. And you don't just want to be intimate with them, you want to talk to them and laugh with them & share the rest of your life with them. It's hard to find but it does happen...

The only thing you can tell about a person "at first sight" is what they look like. If you define love by physical attraction then that's the only way there can be love at first sight.

Personally I don't think there is such a thing. I think love is something that's developed over time. I believe you can't love someone till you know someone. I definitely believe physical attraction is a component of love, but it's a very shallow portion.

That's funny... I just got hit on last week with that line.

But for real... Yes, I believe in love at first sight but I don't believe that love at first sight is automatically "the one". It still takes work to make the love last...

We are highly developed creatures taking in massive information. Our mind processes visual cues and stands new information against past experience. We then make judgments and decisions upon a vast ocean of information. We might not be fully aware of our thought process or the depth of information.

Yet is love possible at first sight? Can we gather enough information in a short period enabling love?

Love is possible if we use the widest, and warmest definition for love. Love is simply to be in awe of another…to be in wonderment….to have admiration. Love is not a mountaintop which has the space for only a few people. Love is a vast plateau which has endless space for plenty of people.

So, yes we can fall in love at first sight. We can see personality though gestures, movement, and other visual clues. We can admire a warm personality which sings in simple movement.

Thus, I guess we should smile a lot more….we need to get love off a pedestal and enjoy life with love: a lot of it.

yes.

when i first saw my current girlfriend around three years ago, i fell in love with her. i didn't even talk to her that day or days or weeks after (she went to my high school), but i knew that i loved her - almost like i felt a connection. we finally spoke to each other (leave it to myspace to break the ice) and we hung out once that summer, but then we went our separate ways. she got a boyfriend and i got a girlfriend, but i knew that something was missing. and now three years later we started talking again and have been dating for seven months this april 21st.

It happened in the Bible so I guess so. But hardly ever these days. Userally we fall in love with the persons looks and how they make us feel before we can learn to love the person.
