I use a twin tub washing machine, and when I'm done washing I use the water on my garden. I don't use plastic bags, and I eat as little processed food as possible. I recycle what I can, and I separate my garbage. I don't throw anything out that anyone I know can re use. I shop at thrift stores. I do a lot of crafts and for materials I use recycled where I can... and I give my masterpieces as gifts.

Where I live there's a recycle center in the neighborhood. They pick up our recycling bins along with our trash cans. We also try to use natural light vs light bulbs. Turn off the water while brushing my teeth, take shower vs baths. You know all the basics.

I don't litter, I don't eat fast food, I recycle, I reuse bags instead of just tossing out, I give clothes to second stores or friends instead of tossing out, I use front and back of paper, I walk instead of drive- as long as it's within reason. I do drive though and I use kitty liter that is cat safe so my cat will live longer and that means less cats in the ground.
I know I could do more but I am doing all I can that works for me.

not using the car often, now a days more walk than driving. i try to not use a lot water and hot water, wash dishes with hand, instead of machine. closing all the lights when un-needed.

I walk or ride my bike every where I go. I'm 23 and have never owned a car, for that reason.

i recycle and do not leave the water running when i am brusing my teeth.
also, i use any extra water in my water bottle and give it to my plants.
