i hate to say it, but he may possibly be...every closer has cold runs during the season and, notoriously for people who follow the yankees closely, rivera seems to have one string like this every single season, then shakes it off and goes back to his old form...however, i don't think he's ever had an 8.44 ERA in any three-week span in his career, he's not locating his cutter and his fastball is staying up in the zone and out over the plate
also, he struggles against the red sox, so that may have played some factor into it as well...check back at the end of may or so, and if his struggles continue then you can definitively answer yes to this question

No I basically think of he's off to a slower commence. that's extremely uncharacteristic of him, yet i think of he will rebound. he isn't any doubt, between the (dare we are saying THE) superb closers of all time. he's a diverse corridor of popularity 1st pollmember. i think of the Yankees bullpen isn't plagued by potential of Mariano's sluggish commence. i think of he continues to be between the right 5 lively closers right this moment. i think of the Yankees are (and could) be greater apprehensive approximately their commencing pitching. Their starters are all injury, and the replacements they have spoke of as up have not been astounding. The Yankees basically could supply Rivera it sluggish to calm down. he will commence getting warm quickly. they could get help for their starters in the previous they even think of approximately changing Mariano Rivera.

Ages has to catch up with you sooner or later. The Yankees could be in a hurt of trouble if Mariano is toast.

No. He is going through a tough time right now, but he will bounce back!! I am sure, though, that Yankee fans will now boo him as they did A-Rod last year and as they have other great players in the past. They can't help it!! They are from New York!!
Chow!!

His stuff is still good but it's his location. He's not working the entire strike zone like he should. All of his pitches are in the same vicinity and batters sit on that vicinty.

I don't think he is as dominat as he was before but i wouldn't say he is on the downside. I think everyone is finally just able to sit on a good cutter.
