ok, my English isn't that good so i'm sorry If i make some mistakes. My problem is that I get bored so easily. I graduated from high school last year and now I'm in college. Back in high school, I wasn't like this, but now I feel like I'm lazier than ever and I feel like I just want to give up everything. I used to play piano and I was more active, but ever since I became college student, I can't sleep at night, because I feel scared when I go to sleep. So I wake up late, when I don't have school and all I do is to hang out with my friends. Back in high school, I was more lively and all, but now I feel like I've lost my goals. I know many college students goes through this, but mine is worst, because I keep skipping class. I know I don't want to fail the class, but I can't control myself. All of my friends feel depressed because of worrying about thier future and school, but they still keep attending to class unlike me and they're doing pretty well to me. how can i control myself?

I know exactly what Andrea (above) is talking about -- been there too.

College students do go through this, especially since they are not obligated to attend each and every class, you must make it a point to discipline yourself and attend class, even if u do not have to.

Keep in mind that your actions will only benefit or hurt YOU. you must try to focus, try to keep a schedule and stick to it.

Exercise is good to get rid of depression, and it might help you regulate your sleep. Try to exercise later in the evening,
swimming will tire you out and make you sleep soundly.

For whatever reason, kids your age seem to have a hard time falling asleep early, they all seem to fall asleep between midnight and 2 am. Maybe too much tv, video games or computer time (IM)., and then have a hard time getting up early (vicious cycle). Try to reverse it, get up early and do not take naps, so that you can fall asleep early. When u get up early you accomplish more as well.

Keep a good diet as well with minimal junk food (makes you sluggish)

~good luck

you need to get some vitamins, get up and go to class...i dropped out of college to get married and have my children (and i wouldn't trade my kids for the world), but now all i want is to be back in school. go to school, get your education, do this for you. I really wish that i had waited to have my kids and that i would have graduated college, so many more doors would be open to me right now. college is important and you don't have to worry about your future the first year of college, most students don't fully decide what they are going to do until the end of the first year or begining of the second. I have a friend who didn't know what she wanted to do or major in until she was in her 3rd year. Don't be afraid, just go to class, ENJOY college, get your good grades and have FUN!!! Best of luck!!
