"Better" is a subjective term. Everyone has their own opinion, just as everyone has a bellybutton! The best selling vehicle in the Country for the past several years has been the Ford F100 series pickups, but does that mean they are "better" than Dodge, GMC or Chevy? I don't know; I prefer the "big truck" styling of the Dodge (but then, I have always preferred Chrysler Corp. vehicles). Some people swear by their GMC or Chevys; others swear at them. All I know is, Ford is the best seller, Dodge are the best looking and Chevy and GMC make very capable vehicles. By the bye, you neglected the Toyota Tundra which is a hot seller and a huge success. Thanks. Good luck!

When I was young and dumb, I wanted a 4x4 Ford extended cab, I've seen some nice 'old' Chevy trucks, but neither of those 2 have a 426 HEMI option... so definatly have to go with Dodge. But I'd rather take a Mopar Muscle Car or Toyota Import over a truck any day.

Ford has the fully boxed frame some extra nuts and bolts,
Chevy has DuraMax engines rugged developed by isuzu
And i dont perticulary care for dodge because of paint issues and piston ring issues. But the cummins seriec of powertrains are amazing, developed for marine use. I would go with a GM Silverado!

If I had no choice, I'd go with Dodge. But if I could get my hands on an old (I'm talking 1980's model) AMC HMMWV (Hummer), I'd be on Heaven's Highway... Those things could climb hills and negotiate terrain that Fords and Chevys run away from like screaming little girls.
