It is good business practise to ask for a Credit Card number from prospective customers.

This allows you to :-
a) verify their identity
b) take a Deposit to secure the reservation

I also have a business in MT and have been contacted by a similar email "person" who wanted to book rooms for a church convention. Did a search on "Christ Embassy Inc" & the Spokane BBB has a warning on their scam!!! The emails are pretty much word for word and author of the email does not answer any questions about the delegates or convention!!!
