I sincerely hope by non-religious you mean organized Pope on a Rope or Christian on a Triscuit BBD&O advertising accounts as curses are as real and effective as the United States Marines at Iwo Jima. Nevermind stopping in at the Notell Motel to read your Gideon Bible on this one, get out your Tarot cards, make a date with a gypsy or cast a circle because something Black this way comes and it aint Bill Cosby. Virginia Tech, Houston Space Center and the third hit is going to involve California, Oregon or Washington not too many hours from now. Not a good feeling at all, hope my dread is unfounded, but yes, I believe in curses and somebody done someone wrong songs which are chants or spells if you think about it.

You bet! ANY movie that comes out today (even rated G stuff) has plenty of curses in it. I remember back in the day when a movie was a movie and it didn't have all that cursing in it. By the way, are you not into movies, because you would know that curses existed just by turning on the TV.

Yes. But I believe that you should not be afraid especially if you know that you have not deliberately brought pain to another helpless person. For me, curses only work if there are a lot of hatred, hurt, pain and anger consciously and deliberately being given to another person and that person is helpless.

TO PERFORM THE TURKEY CURSE--

Take a foot stance as if you were John L. Sullivan preparing for
fisticuffs. Face the particular grey-face you wish to
short-circuit (e.g. a street preacher), or towards the direction
of the negative aneristic vibration that you wish to neutralize
(e.g. the White House). Begin waving your arms in any elaborate
manner and make motions with your hands as though you were
Mandrake feeling up a sexy giantess (Dr. Strange imitations are
fine). Chant, loudly and clearly:

GOBBLE, GOBBLE, GOBBLE, GOBBLE, GOBBLE!!

The results will be instantly apparent.

No. I think bad things can befall a person and their family members, but they are not necessarily curses. I think there is a root cause of these problems that comes from a flawed way of thinking, or a way of living that lends itself to inviting these unwanted occurences.

A curse is a superstition. Religion is formed of many superstitions.

But no I don't believe in curses.

A non-religious answer about a curse?
It that like non-political rhetoric about a war?
Or a non-cullinary opinion about food?
Perhaps a non-medical perscription?
An unthreaded stitch?

Guess I'll cut the sarcasm.

Religiously, on a very limited basis, I believe a curse can exist inasmuch as God himself allows it.

I don't have any reason to believe they exist, so I don't. If you want to show me that they do in fact exist, I challenge you to put one on me and I'll see if I actually run into any worse luck than usual or have anything particularly bad happen to me.
