Dont go crazy buying them up ! Many people are going to do the very same thing, but if everyone is hording and selling them , who will be buying them later ? Their big bold letters and 40th anniversary proclomations on the cover will be screaming to everyone to "buy me , buy me !! " Which is exactly what everyone will do. You wont find anything new in the issue anyway. Just the same old rehashed interviews and pictures that they have been running every anniversary issue. Instead you should look for magazines that offer little fanfare , such as first issues. Marthar Stewart's and Racheal Ray's first issues are worth a small fortune now.

Never thought I'd give a Thumbs Up for someone saying the Beatles but I did on Michael's answer. Oh I don't give thumbs down by the way, If your talking Rock N' Roll you have to go with the Stones the Beatles are a pop band never really a rock band if you listen to the very early music of both bands you will see the differences, and also the Stones have more energy than the Beatles are a great band, and John is one of my favorite artist, he knows how to rock. So The Stones all the way. take care dave.

I would.

I bought a Rolling Stone magazine with Diane Keaton on the cover from the 70s (It was a 'Annie Hall' issue) for 75 cents at Half-Price Books. It's worth a lot more than what I paid for.
Keep all issues of rollingstone.
