political view is not unpatriotic. The people in Vermont are exercising their rights. Bush is a man not a god or king

If it is unpatriotic to criticize Bush by Democrats, then it was just as unpatriotic for the Republicans to criticize Clinton....they didn't have to go forth with impeachment because all it did was demean him...but they did it anyway to get points

unpatriotic, no, correct, no. its a weird road we're on. the president is our elected leader, and while we should make sure he is doing our job, that doesn't mean it is the correct thing to do. i dislike democrats, but if we had a democratic president and he made a few mistakes, minor or major, i wouldn't call for his impeachment, i would respect his authority no matter how hard. Even though I dislike him does not take away the fact that he is still in power over me and I should respect him. the same is true for Vermont. Calling for impeachment isn't unpatriotic, it's disrespectful to do it just because they don't agree with him.

On the contrary I believe that they are trying to save our country from this Republican Administration led by George W. Bush. This Republican Administration with the support of the Republican right wing has led this country into a wasteful budget busting killing machine called 'the War In Iraq'.
Had we been concentrating our military force in Afghanistan we would have captured or killed Osama Bin Laden and destroyed the Taliban and Al Queda. As it is however the United States is bogged down in a huge political and military blunder in Iraq,
This Republican Administration led by George W Bush has destroyed the proud national image of the United States and is costing billions and wasting young men and womens lives in the military.
Thanks

PATRIOTISM-zealous love of ones country.
Patriot-a person who loves his native country and will do all he can for it.

No, they are not unpatriotic. They are exercising their right to persuade their Congressional delegation to bring articles of impeachment. They may be misguided, since impeachment is not going to happen, but not unpatriotic.

So now the great people of the great state of Vermont are not allowed to have freedom of speech. Why is it every time someone disagrees with fearless leader one of his jingoist little Fascists crys unpatriotic.

Here is a quote from one of their heroes. They will recognize their tactics.

Hermann Goering, second in command of the Third Reich and key founder of the Nazi party, said; “Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger”.

Useless is more like it. Why are they debating this in the Vermont Legislature? Don't they have more important things to do? If not, dismiss the Legislature early and give the money that they saved back to the people as a tax break.

Hey, we don't agree with Bush up here. Maybe you do, but Bush isn't America. Half our damn country rebelled against their president back during the civil war because they wanted to own slaves. Compared to that, asking for impeachment is rather tame.

Hey Articchick, how about you tell me which state you are from, and we will do a little comparison as to who has more reported incidents of child abuse?
