Absolutley. Driven by human nature and an entertainment industry that continually pushes the envelope, society continues to become more sexualized, debaucherous, and indifferent. Lines of moral acceptability continue to blur. And we, often unaware, slide down the slippery slope.

No.
Of course, the first thing you would have to do is define is what is "moral decline." To do that, you have to compare the morals of today to the morals of the past. How far in the past is up to you.
Let's go back 150 years. Slavery was legal. Women couldn't vote or own property. There were no child labor laws. "He needed a good kill-in'" was a valid defense in some states.
Legal representation wasn't guaranteed if you were arrested and couldn't afford a lawyer. The "Miranda warning" you can probably recite by heart is less than 50 years old, btw.
If a husband beat his wife, so what?
Health insurance? Minimum wage? Overtime pay? Gun Control? Civil Rights? Public Education for all?
None of this existed 150 years ago. It all depends on how you are defining what is "moral" and what you envision as the pinnacle and a decline.

It depends on what you use as a measuring stick. Some would say that what is defined as moral changes with time and/or the culture/society being evaluated. For instance, things that were considered immoral centuries ago are no longer viewed as such in today's secular society (and vice versa). On the other hand, various religions make the point that there are certain universal guidelines for morality that are not subject to reinterpretation over time. An example might be murder without any mitigating circumstances.

i think of because of the financial subject being undesirable that maximum individuals have became offended and have been too worried with regard to the pressures of protecting a job and a roof over their heads than they have the morals of coaching their toddlers what's right and what's incorrect. Our government used to yell "terror" daily on the television and scared 0.5 the individuals to dying. Terrorists have been with us continuously and could continuously be with us, American or in any different case. We found out approximately water-boarding which replaced into outrageous, the states have been separated into crimson and blue states, the great wigs have been getting fat bonuses mutually as 0.5 of usa replaced into ravenous. human beings don't sense the will for morals while they see their very own government doing each and every of the crooked issues that have been finished and then robbing us blind. reliable examples might desire to be set noticeably via our government as nicely as parents, and the government has shown us that they are morally corrupt, so why could we be any distinctive? it extremely isn't any longer purely youthful human beings i'm speaking approximately the two.

Moral decline? No, I don't think so. What I do think is happening is a moral shift due to mass communication. 'Traditional' moral values will dictate that everything outside of that strict moral code is wrong, but the fact is people broke moral codes of contact all the time for hundreds of years, due to mass communication, we know about it and have begun to question, "why are these things wrong?" often discovering that morality isn't as well cut out as religious or societal law.

Oh boy ! I'll show my age here...
I think the video / computer access that kids have to violent and pornographic material is a point...
I think the "outlawing" of corporal punishment by PARENTS upon children is INSANE. I went to school when the principal could spank you !! In 4th grade I had a meeting (that I deserved) with "the board of education".
I think that television and music in general have gone FAR ourside the bounds of decency... particulary given that parents can't (or don't) restrict it as I think they should.
Now I don't wish to return to the repressive 1950's... nor to a version of the colonies around Salem... but I'm tired of hearing 6 yr olds curse like little sailors.
