Tell your cousin to find a way to go to church and have a talk with the minister or pastor or who ever. And to seek solace from God and your cousin may find that the Lord is there to help. You need to turn to the Lord for help in understanding things and people like that. The rest of the world is trying to and his family is trying to. We all are trying to figure out why he did something so stupid and hurt so many and then himself in such a vile way. But turn to the Lord and our Savior Jesus for answers that may help you. I wish you the best and hope you will do so.

Try to remember him on the special days, first day of school, whatever yearly things they did together. He is getting lots of comfort now. It will be later when this dies down and everyone stops talking about it will he need support.

this is a terrible thing that has happened and i am sorry for your cousins loss, i think you just need to make sure you tell him/her you will be there not matter what. that way if he/she needs to talk he/she know to come to you and you will listen and comfort him/her

Be there for him. Just listen when he wants to talk. Don't try to tell him they are in a better place or that you understand how he feels. He knows they are and you don't know how he feels. Just be there with him. Keep the tissues handy and really listen to him when he opens up to you. Thats all you can do.

Write a nice note and make a contribution to the school. I'm sure they are setting up memorials.

I think that you can be like calling every now and than and make sure that he/she is okay and make sure that he/she understands that sometimes that is going to happen no matter where you are.... Maybe it was just time for his /her friend to go to heaven and it was his/her friends time... Now there is nothin to make his/her friend come back...... Maybe he/she can come and stay with you for a little while..........
