does my pc have to be on when charging my palm tx ?

I have a brand new palm tx . Is this the correct set up order ?#1,charge for three hours with sync cable connected #.2,turn on pc or should it already be on while charging?# 3,turn on palm tx.#4,insert and run setup software on pc or palm and then hit sync button?

If you are using the 'all in one' cord- a Palm connector on one end, and a USB jack on the other, then yes, the computer has to be on to charge it.

Get it good and charged, then disconnect it and run the software. It will tell you when to plug it in.

Nope there on two cords that come with the palm one goes to the pc the other to the wall.
