They can reach 20" or so in the wild or in a very large aquarium. Typically in an aquarium though it's more likely to top out at 8-10"

the Aquarium Atlas Vol 1 which is, well, the fish bible, lists them as 18" in a proper aquarium at full size. They can be bigger in the wild. Most people get rid of them or cause them to die around a foot though. This is sad but true.

I love these fish, did you know you can hand train them, eating out of hand, pet them and actually teach them some tricks? Freaky but true, I've done it, just to see if it was true.

In wild they grow about 3' long, in aquariums they reach a size of 1'-2'. Mostly they end up 1' long ,if proper care is taken they grow upto 20".

They get about a foot long. You might try a search engine next time, takes about ten seconds to get the answer you are looking for.
