I am the biggest bonds fan probably alive, but the answer to this is definetly albert. but for totally different reasons then these amatuers are giving you. First bonds today is as good as bonds in his prime, Bonds hasnt had a prime, hes always been good. Here is why pujols will win. At this very second bonds is batting 312 with 4 homers and there isnt much else the guy can do, he is ripping the baseball. Albert is batting 197 with 4 hrs. he can only go up in hits and average which mean his hrs are going to go up. He will finish with more homeruns than bonds, but he will also finish with 200 plus more at bats than bonds. Bonds will hit more per at bat, but pujols will hit more total.

Pujols will end up with more. Bonds has to worry about getting to the record this season, which would be a feat for a man his age. Pujols should hit 35 or 40 at least this season.

Pujols. He's only like 25 while Bonds is about 25,000. Used to be a great player, but if I were to ask you who would hit more homeruns in the 07 season, Babe Ruth or Pujols, it'd be Pujols. Not neccessarily a better player, but Ruth is let's say too old to hit many HR.

Pujols

Bonds is only playing to break Aaron's record. As soon as he does that, he will stop making any effort at all. Bonds is, as always, playing for his own personal glory, and the Giants can be damned. He has NEVER been a team player. Pujols by a large margin!

Barring injury to either player it'll be Pujols...he'll get more at-bats and while he's walked a ton no one is walked more than Bonds...final numbers, Pujols 42 Bonds 36...

If Pujols holds this slump for a long time, then Bonds has a chance of winning. He's on pace for 30+ HRs.

Its got to be pujols. Sure he is off to a slow start but he always finds his groove. Heck he missed 19 games last year and still managed to hit 49 round-trippers. Bonds missed 32 games last year and only mustered 26.

Bonds, they will pitch around Pujols because he is on a good team. The Giants will come in 3rd or 4th in their division.
