For a "perfect rhyme", all you need is a word whose final syllable is accented and ends with "-ists"
These work (14 words):
*assists, consists, desists, resists, resists,subsists
*cists, cysts, fists, lists, mists, trysts, twists, wrists
This does not include prefixed or compound forms, esp. with "lists" (blacklists, booklists, checklists, enlists) and the negation 'un-twists'.
But note that for a perfect rhyme not just the "-ists" but also the ACCENT must match. So, when some of the answers offered so far include words in which the last syllable does NOT carry the accent, they don't quite work.
Examples: BAP-tists, SCI-en-tists (CAPS = accented syllable)
The same is true for nearly 1200 words that end with th -ists suffix, referring to people involved in a particular field.
------------------------
Given the limited number of perfect rhymes, you might not find one that suits your purposes. This leaves you with these options:
1) rewrite the line to use another FORM of the word -- can you make it "exist" ? This will add a lot of possible rhymes.
In addition to the words listed above, minus the final -s, you could use words that end with -ist that CANNOT add an -s.
* gist, grist, whist
There are also a number of words that end with "-issed" which makes the SOUND /ist/
* dissed, hissed, kissed, missed, pissed
2) rewrite the line so that some OTHER word falls in the 'rhyming' (probably final) position, that is, a word with more rhyming possibllities, or at least with a rhyme that suits your needs. (It might be a synonym of "exists", or something completely different if you change the ORDER of the line.)
3) Find a good NEAR rhyme, that is, on in which MOST of the sounds match, and any that do not are as close as possible.
In this case, the endings -isks, -isps, -ips, -ipts, -ifts, -iffs, -ith, -ish, -its, and -iss (ACCENTED, of course!) could work.
* discs, disks, fisks, risks, whisks
* lisps, whisps
* blips, chips, clips, dips, drips, flips, gyps, grips, hips, lips, mips, nips, pips, quips, rips, sips, ships, skips, slips, snips, strips, tips, thrips, trips, whips, zips, eclipse, ellipse, equips
* crypts, scripts
* lifts, rifts, sifts, shifts, thrifts
* cliffs, glyphs, ifs, miffs, riffs, skiffs, sniffs, stiffs
* myth, fifth (the middle /f/ is usually NOT pronounced), pith, Scyth, smith, with
* dish, fish, swish (NOT words with -ish suffix, accented BEFORE the last syllable)
* bits, fits, flits, fritz [as in 'on the fritz'], grits, hits, its, kits, mitts, nits, pits, quits, ritz, sits, skits, slits, snits, spits, wits, acquits, admits, befits, omits, permits (verb, NOT noun), submits, transmits
The final -iss forms would mostly be the -issed forms given above, minus the -ed. But add:
* abyss, amiss, bliss, reminisce, sis, Swiss, this
(Note that "exists" is, in mainly dialects, pronounced with a very slight t or even none at all, so that this ending could work especially well.)
Of course you could combine #1 and 3 -- change the first form to "exist" and look for words ending in -isk, -isp (though it doesn't add many):
* brisk, crisp
