well, why would you even worry about this? You'd know your best friend better than the class jerk I'd hope.
People say hurtful things all the time, don't put too much stock into it.

I would instantly get on Yahoo! Answers and ask a bunch of strangers what to do.
My suggestion is to make out with the jerk classmate in front of your former best friend.

You would be like "Uh not they dont"
Its just some kid in your class saying that.
Perhaps to scare you.
You would be able to tell if one of your friends doesnt like you.
Best friends dont pretend. They cant live as your "best friend" if they always hated you.
Dont let what other classmates say get to you.
