Well, there have been quite a few religious sects, particularly christian ones, whom believed celibasy all throughout life was necessary to maintain peace and purity.
They all died. They did not reproduce.
We have children to continue the species. Granted, some people should never reproduce but that is purely subjective.

Well really for people to stop reproducing but I think it would be really good for people to really think about it and not have more than 3 kids. Like have their tubes tied after that or something. Also, stupid people should not have kids.

Like other animals, humans have the instinct to reproduce.
Unlike most animals, they know if they have not reproduced, even if they have mated, and will actually take extra measures to ensure their fertility.
All the rationalizations come down to that: instinct. Loneliness, desire to nurture, desire to pass on one's genes or family name or values -- these are rationalizations for instinct.

Because we need to continue our carbon-based process until we have fulfilled the duty of cleansing the Earth of all the creatures that Nature has decided have to be deleted.
Once we've done that, we can self destruct and stop breeding.

The purpose of a scientific human life is to pass on dna. If you can't achieve this purpose, then you will not live life on its fullest.

What's up with the evangelicals? They are like the Catholics of the 21st Century. (I'm Catholic).
I mean it's like they are planning to take over the world. It's freaky. They all have 10 kids, the wife doesn't work and they say God Bless you alot. Freaky.
