Sunni? No. I think the Bush administration put its money on the Shiite's since they represented a majority of the population and public opinion. I think Bush believed that if he got these guys into office (he did) then they would back up the democracy in the Middle East (they didn't - in fact, they just want us out).

Wrong parties in the country.He funds the Shiites. Which is the party of Al Sadr who is a terrorist.Also the Prime Minister of Iraq is a follower of Al Sadr.So much for the war on terror huh?
