I am being skinned alive by the IRS and need to just pick up and start life over somewhere else. I have a very limited amount of money to take with me, so I need to live somewhere fairly cheap and also be able to pick up some work to supplement my income. Also, I am currently on probation after being convicted of defrauding the IRS. Any suggestions?

I must note that the fraud was commited to raise funds to try to help my child who was wrapped up in the drug scene. It was used for doctors, clinics etc to try to get her clean. To no avail, as she is now serving 9 years for armed robbery. Not one dime of the money was used for my own personal use.

By "fraud" do you mean to say that you simply neglected to pay income tax, using the money for your sated purpose? Or do you mean that you cheated the IRS into giving money that you had no right to? If you simply have not paid taxes on your income, you have committed no fraudulent act. There is no law obligating anyone to pay taxes on income from labor. Income tax is only applicable to gains made by corporations, not individuals. do a Google search for a video by Aaron Russo called "America: Freedom to Fascism" and you get some much-need information on the subject.

Yup. I suggest you talk to an attorney and see if you can't workout a better payment plan. This is what you get for defrauding the IRS.
As for moving to another country, it won't be likely to help you.
