I grew up in NJ and I'm a diehard Mets fan. Went to college in Massachusetts (BC) and within weeks, became so offended at how Bostonians and New Englanders for that matter, were so damn provincial in everything they do. The second they heard that anyone was from NY or NJ, they immediately equated it with being a Yankees fan. They are truly insane and their insanity is a direct biproduct of being so insecure that their city and their team has nothing on New York. I don't often defend the Yankees, but ONLY after living in New England, can a Mets fan realize that the true enemy is not the Yankees, but the Red Sox and the oft-drunk, ignorant accent sounding, pompous fans. How's that for a best answer?

As for the stupidity of the fans, I've had the misfortune of working often in New Jersey and being surrounded by Yankees and Mets fans, and guess what, they're no less pompous and rude...I get it all the time down there just for wearing my Sox cap...just like in Boston when New Yorkers are around...it's part of being a fan, and if you can't take it you either have really thin skin (i.e. you're a wimp) or you don't care about your team and baseball enough to be in this discussion...

Honey, don't get so wound up. Obviously the Red Sox are better. If they weren't you wouldn't be so angry. The Yanks fan are the most pompous. Y'all have no patience with your players. No one good enough and the Yanks have to result to stealing other players by waving wads of money at them (Johnny Demon, for example). You see Randy Johnson couldn't even take the enormous amount of pressure that was up on him by the fans.A-Rod isn't my favorite person in the world, but y'all where ready to kick out him of NYC last year and now he's back on track he's the best thing smoking in NYC. Get over yourself. The season isn't even a month old yet. We'll see whose still standing in October. Beckett will be throwing so much heat tomorrow and Dice-K will be at his best Sunday. Whose pitching for the Yankees this weekend??? Oh, yeah a couple of no names. When the Yanks get some experienced pitchers and the rest of the lineup hitting then you'll have something revelant to say until then calm yourself down.
Okay, two more things: Whose leading the AL East and who won tonight???? I don't bash people for who they cheer for. My sister is Yankee fan and I would never talk to her the way you did to me.

I'm feeling peevish, to be honest, lol. Then again since the Tigers are doing so great this year, I feel we will both be feeling much the same come playoff time. Besides, I like the Mets even better than the Sox, so I'll be feeling great in October when they're kicking the Tigers hineys all over the autumn grass. :) :) :)

I dont like the Sox or Yanks, but come on? People complaining about NESN announcers? Have you ever listened to John Sterling (Yankee radio announcer). He is such a homer it isn't even funny. When the Yankees win, he sounds like he is going to explode. When they lose, it's like well the Yankees lost one tonight.... Many teams have homer announcers. It's just the way it is.

Sox got lucky. Last 3 hits were lucky. The whole game was lucky. Pettite couldn't get a call, A - Rod was amazing, yet the fans think they won the game. It's ur sorry *** players who won the game, and they got lucky doing it. Have fun watching the playoffs from ur asses.
Yanks take next 2 in series, A - Rod hits 4 more homers, and Dice - K gets shelled. That would be a great series.

Okay um the Yankees are freakin awesome. A-Rod has made 11 homeruns so far this season so those retarted idiotic Sox fans can shut up.
