Don't you agree that only the victims' lives should be talked about and not the person that took those lives?

The shooter took the lives of some of the most promising young people in America for no reason. They need to be remembered. I'm sick of hearing about the Korean boy's last words and publicity he's getting. It's only going to inspire copycats to try the same thing.

The victim that took the lives should be posted with the pictures of the people that are legislating taking our firearms. It is because of shortsighted, overbearing, non-caring misdirected capitalists that our rights are in danger of being taken and it is proved with the rights to life of the 32 people that died as a result of the breakdown of the system that the legislators represent.

Only from an ethical perspective. The media doesn't work that way (ethically) and, in terms of analyzing this in order to gain preventive information, the only revalent person was Cho himself.

This may sound absolutely horrible, but if one thinks about it, it makes sense. As a society, if we want to really gain something from this tragedy, Cho is the only revalent one. His 32 victims didn't die by themselves. Learning about them won't prevent this from happening again.

For the victims' families and classmates, this is ofcourse different because of their obvious strong emotional and geographic ties to the tragedy.

I think BOTH should be discussed. But, I also think some discretion is needed out of respect for the families of the victims.

Yes but of course the media is more interested in glorifying the the murderer rather than the victims.
