Yes - major work started today (4/20). They are taking down theTamm Avenue overpass by blowing out the supports with explosives. This will be cleaned up over the weekend, and I-64 is due to reopen by Monday AM. There will be closures on and off over the next few months, and then a shutdown of about half the length of I-64 in the metro area in the spring.
If you're just coming through, it won't be bad except at rush hours, You can use I-255 and I-270 to avoid the closed sections.

In fact, they are blowing up the Tamm Avenue overpass tonight (as we speak). It is under major construction and will be for a couple more years. MoDot is supposed to post updates and lane closures on their website. They are doing most of the work at night.
