Cheating is getting out of hand and its the children who suffer. If you can't end a relationship without having a lover waiting in the wings I think repaveing the road to Alaska for 1 year should be in order for you! Yes I got cheated on!

So you want to turn relationship issues into criminal offences? Great, so the next time you argue with a girlfriend, you have to do community service? Or the next time you forget something you really should have rememberd, you get five lashes?

Come on, I know you're hurting but that's just ridiculous. I agree that cheating is hurtful and seems to be running rampant. However, harsh punishment won't fix that problem. We live in a society where people rush into committed relationships, just because they feel they must be in one. So they take up with the first adequate person, but after a while they realize they're not happy and look elsewhere.

Was your cheating spouse unhappy and miserable before the affair started? If not, and your spouse was just a complete dog that had to sleep with anything with a pulse, that's a completely different issue.

There is no excuse for cheaing, however I often wonder what the other person might have done to lead the cheater to cheat. Sometimes its nothing, but sometimes they go else where because they arent getting what they need (not always, and probably rarely sex) at home.

Bravo! I second that motion! My fiance just cheated and it is the most excruciatingly painful thing one could suffer outside a death or horrible illness. For all you cheaters out there, time to realize the damage it does!

I think they should have to spend every day working in a VD clinic and help all the docs with their patients. And, not get to wear gloves!
