Because of all his titles and the fact that he played for the Yanks, he has a chance, but i don't think he will make it. He was/ is a great guy and a great player, but his stats are just a tad bit short of hall-worthiness in my opinion.

Sorry, but No. Bernie had a good peak (1998-2000), was pretty good on defense back in the 20th century, and was a key contributor to many postseason teams. He won a batting title. Got a few All-Star selections, some Gold Gloves, a handful of MVP votes in a few years. That's a good career with an appropriate amount of honoraria, but it's not a Hall-class career. If he hadn't worn Yankee pinstripes there would not be even this much discussion of his Hall candidacy -- this probably needs a name like "Mattingly syndrome".

No...The Hall of Fame should be reserved for the best and he seems to be the 3rd or 4th best when the Yankees were winning. Maybe if he does interviews for the media he would make it.....Possibly if he is the polar opposite of Albert Belle.
Vote for Albert Belle and I will vote for Williams.

Bernie Williams was a very good player but no way a Hall of Famer.

I agree. His postseason numbers are great but he played in MANY more games than most that have come before him. They have only been doing 3 rounds of playoffs for what, 15 years? See if his postseason numbers are still tops in 50 years. He was a good everyday player, but didn't amass the numbers that are needed for the Hall.

Absolutely he should be in the hall someday.
As of 2006, he holds career postseason records for games (121), doubles (29), home runs (22), runs batted in (80) and extra base hits (51

For all of you who say that he won't make it because of his numbers, he is the career leader in many post season categories all time.
Of course he gets the nod, he played and won on the biggest stage, NEW YORK.
P.S.- There are guys in the hall for less.

No. I dont think he was ever an MVP, which makes him what they call a stat compiler. He only has 287 career HR, and only 2300 hits, with a career average of .297. I dont think he will make it.
