Go to court and contest. Your ticket should say what you can do if you don't agree with the officer who gave you the ticket.
I actually witnessed a stop where I could see the radar reading reading one way, and the officer told the person a different (higher) number.
I believe most officers are honest and honorable to his words, but like in any occupation, few are not.
If you feel strongly about this, go to court.

nothing you can do. I had a cop pull me over for not wearing a seat belt (actually no front license plate) and when he came to my window he told me he saw me trying to put my seat belt on which was a lie I knew I was busted so didn't bother, but I did look right at him and tell him no I never had it on and he was mistaken. So like I said in the beginning nothing he is the cop and it doesn't matter what you say. I also noticed everyone says go to court and fight it. think about it what is cheaper a $70-$90 ticket or an attorney and your time

You can fight a speeding ticket. There are a variety of methods, and books that tell about how to use them. Bottom line is the whole system is stacked against you, but you can make them spend more prosecuting you than they will get. There is a reasonable chance you will get off as well. Good luck.

Have your speedometer checked and if it is that far off, and you and the mechanic can prove it, fight it in court. You got a 50/50 chance there. Be diplomatic and not rude to the judge and I believe you can get some lienency in this case. If your speedometer is accurate, pay the fine, you will not win if you fight it.

Argue it out in a court of law.
Eric H reckons radars don't lie.
Well technically that is true because they are not human. They are computers. Therefore whilst they cannot lie they can be faulty.
Many people have had similar claims to you, gone to court, argued it out and have won.
You should do the same.

You can go to court to fight it but then you will have to pay court costs plus the ticket if you lose. That would cost you more money. I would pay the fine and forget about it. Good Luck!

Go to court & fight it. Usually you can win. No joke!! I've had friends who WERE speeding, went to court & won. Don't really know how they did that when they were clearly in the wrong, but go for it !!

You're not going to win. You could go to court and fight the ticket; but then you'd end up paying court costs. Just pay the ticket and chalk this one up as a loss.

If they got you on a speed camera demand to see the photo. It might not even be your car. It's been known to happen that they send fines to the wrong person.

go to court and be sincere, the police officer will probably not show and if they do then they will look kinda silly for giving you that ticket.
