I have an african clawed underwater frogs and I am sure that my female has swallowed 3 pea sized pebbles in my aquarium. Is there anything I can do that can make her reveargatate (sp?) or other means not including cutting her. She is about 2 inches with the legs. I am sure she swallowed it. Thanks, This question is open to all but state if you had experience with theese frogs. Oh, and frogs aren't reptiles.

Also frogs have poor eye sight so she could have thought the stones were food. She still is eating but she isn't active as much. I am sure she swallowed the stones because i felt her underside. I am Not taking her to the vet or using tweezers. I personally think she canot get the stones out through her back end, only through were they came. Can someone give me advice on how to make her throw up. Thank alot, I want it ASAP.

Hey there,
I've seen dozens of frogs do this over the years; they've all brought the stones back up themselves. Compared to a lot of critters, their digestive tract is pretty simple. All you can do is wait and see.

There's not really anything that you can do to make her regurgitate the stones, if she doesn't spit them out right away by herself.

If they were relatively small in comparison to her size, feeding her a lot of soft foods (like bloodworms or other frozen thawed foods) may help her pass the stones. If they were too large, they will probably form an intestinal impaction she won't be able to pass. I would try the soft foods and hope she is able to pass the stone. Unfortunately, these guys too often eat their gravel in their enthusiasm to eat.
