My best friend's birthday is coming up and I would like to get him something original or rare/hard-to-find... he is a big fan of Dungeons & Dragons, RPGs, Naruto, Full Metal Alchemist and other anime shows. Any gift ideas besides the obvious (easy-to-find D&D books and anime DVDs)? Thanks!

You could buy him a set of dice and make a personalized dice bag with his initials on it.

If there is a booth at your local mall that prints on T-Shirts you could get him a shirt that says "+2 shirt".

You could get him the 'Dungeons & Dragons - Complete Animated Series' box set on DVD. I have it and it's quite cool, if only for it's cheesiness.

I'm not a huge anime fan but I like a few series. If he hasn't seen 'Samurai Champloo' you should check it out. It's an awesome series. Better than Naruto or FMA.

If you live in south-western Ontario, you should come by my comic book store. We sell all sorts of anime and D&D stuff. Email me if you want more info.

A great gift..

I'd make something with the idea of those ideas.

Maybe create something for him Naruto based, such as an awesome Kakashi picture if you are well on art.

Or create an organized folder of Anime goodness, pictures, and such are nice.

that's all I got...

incredibly, your daughter has an entire 365 days to deliver a recent to her cousin, if she chooses to supply a recent (that's non-compulsory.) that is incorrect etiquette to "hand carry" a recent to a marriage, because it creates a burden for the marriage occasion to look after and transport. suited etiquette is to have a recent despatched to the two the bride-to-be's address in the previous the marriage or the couple's address after the marriage. So, if your daughter needs to supply a marriage present she has lots of time to save and have the present shipped.

If he's into computer games try World of Warcraft or Guild Wars. They're both multi player online RPGs. WOW is pay to play while GW is free.

+2 shirt is an AWESOME idea, "the craig"'s idea, that is. (guy above my answer)

i used to have a +1 shirt i got from the store at http://www.nuklearpower.com [actual online store address is http://www.zestuff.com/8bit/apparel/1/ ]but i gave that to a friend to borrow for one day, and he doesn't want to return it. they also have +1 jackets, hats, etc.. and delivery was fast

other than that, if you're looking for DVD, disgaea recently came out with their anime on video

If he's into D&D, consider a rare or unusual set of dice. You can never have enough dice and be a RPG player! There are a few sets that are made out of semi-precious stones or metals. Here are a few nice ones on ebay:
