I've pondered this question over and over yet I cannot come up with an answer. I mean, it's not like they go into a store and buy one, or it's not like you can find markers on the ground everywhere. So where do they get them from?

I've wondered about that too. I believe one person borrows a marker from a local store or buys it. That person allows others to use his marker. I believe there is a "brotherhood" or "family" among the homeless. When I was homeless, one or two others helped me and I will never forget their kindness. It pains me that one of them has disappeared from the face of the earth but I pray for her. God Bless!

ive been a hobo/bum/vegabond/wanderer...i never had to beg witha sighn but...id go dumster diving..and wow...youd be amazed at what people throw out! it was insane! everything...money...clothes...food...you name it it was thrown away!i lived well off refuse......but i did what i had to do...and it didnt involve hurting, stealing,conning, and now i got my shyt together and making good money and will live well...thanks to all those weird people thowing away good stuff! oh and i found billions of pens! still have some of them....wonder if they still work after two years?

considering there are over 3 billion pens lost or thrown away ever year in the US alone, wouldn't be hard to find a few.

its a necessity for bizzness we all have them i buy uniforms for work i know you need something for work right -- they need markers to pull in more money
