How do you think the media portrayed this? I understand that he was a paranoid psychotic. However, I watched it when it came out, and it seemed that the media was saying if you are quiet and introverted, there is something wrong with you.

I mean, I'm not very outgoing, but I've never been violent in my life. But in the portrayals of Cho Seung Hui, I saw a little of myself, and it scared me. There's this guy at my work that is quieter than me and a little weird. My co-workers snicker that he is the kind of guy that might rampage too. It think its unfair that people think that just because you don't fit the "normal" stereotype.

I agree with you. Just because someone is quiet or shy doesn't mean they are psychotic. I am a loner but don't hate anyone. I think this guy had a lot of psychological problems. It's not right to pick on anyone and the people in your office are being rude and unaccepting. If they really think that they would be telling someone about it instead of joking about him. Maybe someone should try including this guy sometimes. Everyone can't be extroverted and introverts are often thinkers and can have a lot to say if given the chance.

I agree too. My mum and I were having this conversation the other day.

She was in town the other day and she was carrying bags of soccer balls (four bags filled with about 15soccer balls). My mum is very small and the only person who offerd to help carry them for her was an old 'home-less' looking man. Of all people she didn't expect him to help.

Some people are more outgoing than others, thats just the way it is.

What I don't understand though is that one of Cho's teachers actually taught him on his own because she didn't feel safe having him in the rest of the class. Wouldn't the school be a bit worried about this? He had to be taught on his own because he was dangerous.

Cho wasn't completely abnormal. If he was, someone would have done something sooner.
