they are wearing green uniforms to salute overdue Boston Celtics legend pink Auerbach, the pink Sox additionally wore a small "VT" in black lettering on the left sleeve in memory of the 32 people who have been murdered in the process the huge tragedy at Virginia Tech till now this week

I never tought of the 4/20 connection. They said it was to honor Red Auerbach, but maybe someone in the front office smokes and has a sense of humor... nice theory! hee hee...
