You should not be surprised by these statements at all.
Harry Reid, the Democratic Senate leader has embraced drafted proposals for an immediate pullout and also for a set date of troop withdrawal. The man has simply thrown the towel in when it concerns the war in Iraq. He has not an inkling or a care for our commitments to the Iraqi people who have supported our efforts nor any consideration for the troops who have sacrificed for this mission. More importantly, he has no consideration for the troops who are presently deployed on the front lines.
It's simply the best he can come up with - cut and run.
His statements are absolutely disgraceful and counter productive - might I even say anti-American. His position is clear and there are other outlets and procedures that he should be using to voice his concerns rather than publicly broadcasting his Hanoi Jane support for the enemy.
He should be ashamed of himself - but I seriously think he's too stupid to realize it.

I think that the "enemy" have been "emboldened" for the past three years since the US botched the occupation, Abu Gharib, etc. and Reid's statement of the obvious won't make much difference. And it has zero effect on the sectarian violence.

This "embolden" the enemy stuff is becoming a tiresome right wing talking point. Simple stuff for simple minds. Like this WWIII BS.

i don't think it in any respect. at the same time because it may well be helpful to enlist your enemy's enemy that may well be useful you in detrimental your enemy, that's necessary to stay conscious of the character of your enemy's enemy. fantastically plenty each and every difficulty in the international that wasn't brought about by potential of Jimmy Carter grew to become into brought about by potential of our State branch believing that hating the surprising human beings made loopy governments sturdy.

Of course it does. But Democrats are still bleeding for their lost in 2002 and 2004, so they want to win even if it means to help the enemy against the USA.

It absolutely does embolden the enemy. This is very irresponsible talk at a time of war. Harry Reid is out of control and it's all about politics. It's all about votes for 2008 Democrats. He is a traitor in my eyes.

C'mon seriously do YOU believe it? Do you read? The enemy is the enemy what part of that don't you understand? They hate us for just existing. They call us liars. So do they think we are being truthful about the war being lost or are they thinking hmmm what are those heathens up to?NOTHING we say or do makes a bit of difference to them. You accuse the Libs of sitting around over analyzing things what are you doing? You're trying to analyze an enemy that makes no sense in anything they do.

They've chosen their side in WWIII. So have we.
I am a democrat, second, a patriot, first. See me. I am an American citizen of the United States of America. I see a citizen first, not a Republican. I see my President, not someone who won the electoral college vote (which I didn't complain about, nor see any complaints about, until President Bush won, as people were willing to accept it until THEIR candidate lost), but not the popular vote.

I see an enemy my family escaped from in the 1950's doing what we knew they would do back then. We see the U.S.A. standing up against a force which would happily see us sleep, then slit our throats.

Enough. Keep speaking up, please.

The level of violence has risen since the troop surge. Apparently having more targets emboldens them too. Why don't you make your kids join the Armed Forces so we have 'enough' meat to throw into that grinder. Listen. It's urban combat against plain clothed insurgents in the freaking Middle East. Bush could not have gotten us into a worse situation, even on purpose. The fact that you support him, his lies, his total lack of fore-sight, his disregard for advise given him by experienced military advisors makes you almost as retarded as he is.
