Sounds like something more is going on. Either join her in the closet or speak with a professional about what could be going on and try to get her some help.

Sounds like you need to take her to the doctor.
I am bi-polar and when I am going into an episode I try to hide.
Take her to the doctor! She is begging you silently for help.
She can not ask you for this, this is something that was very hard for me to do, ask for help.
Call her doctor yourself, leave a message to talk to him, tell him what is going on before you go. Her doctor will not tell you anything but this dose not mean that you can not tell him. You live with you wife, he see's her what maybe an hour over a year period? Make that doctor listen to what you have to say, keep calling back if you have to. This is your wife you need to help her now. Please dont turn your back on her, that is what she is most scared of. She might not know what is going on with herself but, she needs to be seen by a doctor. I am not saying that she is bi-polar I am saying that before I found out I did the same kinds of things hiding, I was trying to excape from this feeling inside that I could not explain. There is nothing wrong with getting some help, this has changed my life, I can talk about my problems and what is bothering me without melting down, I would have major fitts of rage. Please LOVE her enought to help her.
Best of luck to you both, I will be praying for your family.

I hope your wife is normal because sleeping in the closet is not. Is there something wrong in your marriage where she does not want to be in the same bed as you?

You don't get it do you?
A woman's most precious possessions are her shoes and clothes. She's right to protect them from a fashion ignoramus like you.
Now be a good husband, go and take her out to the shoe store to stock up on cute sandals for the summer!

Does she come out during the day, or is she a vampire?!?
Seriously, you need to call your doctor and get a referral for counseling. She obviously has issues and needs to learn to deal with them before you both go completely bonkers. If you don't have insurance, scour the phone book for local clinics or community service agencies. There IS help out there....

Sounds like schizophrenia get her to the doctor right away.
One of the few disorders you can go to sleep normal one night and wake up the next day with this disorder. Take her to a doctor if you love her there is medicine for this disorder.

She is obviously suffering from some sort of mental illness (maybe temporary, maybe not...) Encourage her to go for a psych evaluation at your local ER. If you have questions on the process, call her regular physician and theyll give you specific directions for your local area- where to go, etc. Something is DEFINITELY wrong.
