There's a lot of oil money up for grabs in the election, and not enough Nigerians really understand how to make democracy work. This has nothing to do with their being African. Ghanaians figured out democracy and make it work.

The problem is the incumbent government and ruling party, the peoples democratic party wants to cling on to power, even their unpopularity does not deter them and they will go to any length to make sure they snatch the peoples mandate. They resort to violence by sending thugs to election booths to cause confusion and snatch ballot boxes and go and fill them somewhere. well in a nutshell, I can say it is caused by greed.

They have been watching too much American TV. They are starting to believe killing is vogue as in the US.
