To defend freedom:

Freedom is like a great tree. Today you can take a chop from it and same tomorrow. Eventually with enough chops it will stop growing, die and then fall.

If we were to permit just one of our basic freedoms fall. Which freedom will we give up next?

The problem is not the gun, but why the system broke down that let a certified nut case buy a gun. One can point and blame at the Liberals for demanding that mental health information be kept confidential. To which the Liberals not wanting to accept the responsibility will blame the gun.

Any new gun law will only affect the law abiding gun owner. To wit: It is easier to herd sheep, then it is to herd wolves. Which means, control the law abiding and give up on the criminals.

because every time some lunatic that shouldnt have a gun to begin with, kills someone, they try to use that to take guns away from the law abiding citizens. Im an old lady, lived in the mountains on 30 acres bordering a national forest by myself for years. I've been chased by wild cats, wild boar and two legged critters. My gun has saved me many times. I dont hunt, but I protect myself, and do eat it if i have to kill it, that includes snakes. You wouldnt even stay alone at my cabin one nite without a gun, promise you that.

Iraq looses maybe 30 or so people a day. when we lose 30 or so people its the worst massacre in our history so lets keep things in perspective. we could be living in 4th century Italy during the time the goths sacked Rome. we could be living in Cambodia or Ghana or just starving to death in Ethiopia. I'll take our constitution and the occasional wacko job that gets a gun despite the laws already on the books just to maintain our society at the fairly safe ,by world standards , that we are at.

We gunowners are not going to take the efforts of the power-hungry and freedom-hating Democrats laying down. I did not kill anybody on Monday, April 16. Yet the Dipsh-tocrats want to take away my guns because one stark raving mad slimeball went schizo and killed 32 people. Why am I to be made responsible for what he did? The truth is the Left wants all our guns so they can cram all sorts of socialism down our throats and we will have no means to retaliate. The first step to total control of a people is to take away their means to remove their government. Does the name Castro ring a bell? How about Mao Tse-Tung? Tyrants and despots cannot tolerate an armed people. Makes you wonder what the Democrat slavedrivers have in store for us in the years ahead of us, doesn't it?

This always happens with things like these events happen. The pro gun and anti gun crowds start bickering. They will never outlaw guns...it's just not going to happen. I'm not saying I agree or disagree, I'm just saying....

They're on the defensive, though because of the latest round of gun violence.

i think they should be way more stricter on purchasing a gun!!!, they need to change the LAW!!! on purchasing a gun, make it more STRICT!!! for any one to buy one, they should be on a waiting list, like maybe 6 to 9 months to buy a gun . i myself do not have a gun in my house, don't need one, i protect my family with whatever i have in my house , like a steel bat [i'm real good in baseball] i can really knock some ones head off!! also in my kitchen i love to cook, any one try to break- in , i would love to show them my top dollar butcher block knife set ,, and as for some one trespassing in my back, or front yard, i'll just let my PIT-BULL loose and that should keep them entertained for awhile, anyways my dog needs a chewing bone .....
