After the VT shooting, I noticed that his issues against rich people and women were nonsensical. There was that shooting at NASA too (scientists gone wild or something), and he probably had some BS issue that none of us could comprehend. It's the same way with so many other people who treat other people like dirt and even commit acts of violence because of issues that have no meaning to other people, and are often times not even understandable to others. Many times, it’s just some form of scapegoating. Can't they just keep it to themselves, get some help, or work out their problems without infringing on the rights of others? Why can't they just pull themselves together before they destroy lives, create hate and fear, and make everyone else miserable?

Oh Michael if it were all that easy. They maybe have an inability to deal with whatever is their demon and externalise it as a way of solving the issue. I worked in a prison some years ago and a child murderer told me he did it so the child would not have as horrible a life as had he. So you killed him to make him better? If only we knew. What do they say? Eternal vigilance is the price of eternal peace

I was thinking the same thing as I was watching the evening news. Do you know that they had calls all across the country at universities and schools today from people phoning in bomb threats and they arrested a kid for having 3 guns with him at school? It also happened after the columbine shooting. It's not bad enough that we have to deal with the real tragedies on a day to day business but the made up ones from sick people that get off on purposely creating mayhem and fear. I wish we had the answers but we don't. I like to think that there are at least some people currently getting the help they need, I'd hate to think of how often something like this could happen if they weren't. Ignorance causes hate, the people doing these violent things are ignorant and they find enjoyment causing fear, it's a sick power trip they are on. The only thing you can do is try to get by doing the best you can do, spending time with the people you care about and not spend all your precious time worrying about what may happen and hope that if they are going to do something violent they do it to themselves and not innocent people.

Because most people think only of themselves. Oh yeah lots of people claim this isn't true, but in truth is almost everyone puts their interests before others. And even if the VT shooter's might be just an excuse (it always is), he got exactly what he wanted. He killed people he hated and got all the news and everyone to notice him.

Because God gave us Free will....and its unfortunate that some exercise this through sociopathic acts of violence...but the RULES & LAWS are just illusions created by the powers that be to prevent free will from manifesting itself in the form of a school shooting or someone going postal and hurting others inotherwords some sort of ORDER needs to exist.....But this form of deviance is probably one of the most shelfish acts.......but anyone misconstruing the life of Jesus....will think that they are a martyr just like him in their bubble encased mind.....But if there is anything to learn from Jesus from this act is a sense of Compassion for the mentally ill.......these people refuse to conform and go into a self-victimizing cycle that leads to the most alienalable fate known to man......a suicide and a mass murder.....its like happening everyday in the middle east and these people at least have a cause (a bad one but its something).....but who cares b/c they are all terrorists anyhow.....why does it always take something happening to America in order to have America realize it is happening EVERYWHERE.....Oh I'm sorry I'm busy making money to put gas in my SUV that gets 15 MPG....God Bless America...Support those troops..why is NO-One talking about how Gas is back at 3.00/ Gallon...Hello.....

I agree with you that other peoples' rights shouldn't be violated. What you have to remember though is that society also helps contribute to the mental instability of some of these people.

For example, when I was a child and the family had to move to low income housing, I used to get beat up daily by other kids just cause of the skin of my color...they wanted me to leave. I helped them later to understand our family is just as poor and we don't have a choice to stay or leave the area we were in. Then having to make all the effort to make friends...no one came up to me.

Because these people are possessed and demon filled. They have no control over what they are doing. The devil is busy on his job and its up to us to stay prayed up., We need Jesus now more then ever.

Well I don't think that they are really thinking of that. They are not well, but I do agree with every thing that you are saying, it is bull crap that we have to reap the repercussions (SP) of other people's sick *** minds. I don't understand and I really don't think that we ever will. Unfortunately
