The centrist Brookings Institute recently reported that 75% of all attacks in Iraq are directed at Occupation Forces and that another 17% at the Occupation aligned Iraq Forces. In polls taken in Iraq, in the last year, over 60% of Iraqis favored attacks on United States troops and over 87% favor a timeline for withdrawal of U.S. troops. While many of the biggest atrocities have occurred with Suicide bombings; the fact remains that there never was a Suicide bombing in Iraq before the illegal (U.N. Charter) 2003 U.S. invasion.
Bottom line: THE OCCUPATION IS THE PROBLEM. Please describe "WIN" in these conditions?!

The lefts political agenda is becoming clearer and clearer, Defeat Platform in 08.... Harry tells the troops the left no longer supports them and the Palosi gang has begun the slow bleed by constant delaying of funds....oops Harry is now back peddling on his comments....yep seeing why the Palosi Congress has a 64 to 70% disapproval rate.

As nearly as I can tell, Joe Lieberman is the only Democrat with any sense at all. He doesn't have enough sense, though, to leave the Democrat party after the way it treated him this last off-year election. He's the only one of them who seems to take the troops into regard when he speaks.
The Democrats better remember that they're offending an awful lot of voters when they dump on our troops.

nope...they dont have the spines to look into a bunch of war fighters faces and tell them what they think. they have been to iraq and all they do is walk around and try to find more things to complain about. if you look for problems, your going to find problems. it is a war zone! war is not pretty, war does not smell good, war doesnt sleep, war is hell!
i would like to see someone try to demean the marines to thier tired faces and see the response. the democrats all have to hide behind the cover of thier DC affiliates in order to say what they really think.

The troops are not the problem, they are caught in the middle of the President's policy and after four years the democrats are saying it's time to get out. You and everyone like you is like a divorcee who uses their kids as weapons. Just wanted you to know.

No. The country made a huge mistake in November. It was a knee jerk reaction to what's going on in Iraq. The country now remembers why they voted out the Dim's in the first place and will correct the mistake in November of 08'.

but the marines/army etc aren't the problem, they follow their orders, the people ultimately in charge who make the orders are the ones who are to blame

I'd rather have that than...
"It's just an insurgency, we can still win, we can still win... It's just 10's of 1000's Iraqis fleeing a month, we can still win, we can still win... It's just a Civil War, we can still win, we can still win."
