What frightens me is the fact Humvees are being driven in Iraq and regularly blown up, while a truck unit built to survive and protect its occupants from such action is not being used so that an automobile company can make huge profits.

Yes. If you've never watched the documentary "Why We Fight," you should check it out. I've been in the military, and the power government contractors have is truly fightening. Our logistics would be impossible without them, and believe me, they BANK from the government to provide us with those services. Halliburton and its subsidiaries, Boeing, General Dynamics, etc, etc, make untold amounts of money off of us taxpayers.
