Well, in 2004 they had green uniforms for St. Patrick's Day in spring training ... and I assume every year since.

This year a comment was made by a player:

"Lefthander Hideki Okajima got off the funniest line of the day when he mused about the team wearing special jerseys in honor of St. Patrick's Day: 'The green uniform made me feel like an inchworm.'"

But I think they look sillier than inchworms. I think they should go ahead and wear dresses they look so silly in these green jerseys.

Also I read, "The Sox will wear the green uniforms again April 12 vs. Seattle in a tribute to the Celtics and Red Auerbach." In any case these green jerseys are ugly with a capital "U."

Since today is the 95th anniversary of Fenway Park, that's why they're wearing them today. It is NOT for Red Auerbach, people, that was last Thursday, 4/12.
